Keyword cannibalization

What it is: keyword cannibalization is when two or more of your own pages target the same keyword, so they compete against each other in Google instead of presenting one strong page. Search engines get confused about which to rank, and your authority is split.

Why it matters: you beat competitors, not yourself. One focused, authoritative page almost always outranks two thin pages on the same term — and consolidating avoids diluting your own signals.

Goal: BurstWriter checks every new topic against your existing articles and queued topics and warns you before you create a near-duplicate. It only warns — you decide whether to refresh the existing article instead or publish a genuinely different angle.
