SEO plugin score (Rank Math / Yoast)
What it is: the colored score in a WordPress SEO plugin like Rank Math or Yoast (e.g. 82/100) is the PLUGIN’s checklist — a rough rule-of-thumb gauge of on-page tidiness. Google never sees it and does not use it to rank you; you can rank #1 at 50/100 or rank nowhere at 100/100.
Why it matters: chasing a green score wastes effort on plugin theater (exact keyword density, “power words”) instead of what actually moves rankings. The genuinely useful kernel the score nudges toward is small — the focus keyword really present in the title and content, a clear topic, and a decent meta description.
Goal: optimize for the REAL signals — the keyword genuinely in the title and content, plus depth and quality — and treat any plugin score as a loose sanity check, never the target.
