Crawl errors
What it is: crawl errors are failures a search engine encounters when trying to fetch a page — "404 Not Found", "5xx" server errors, or long redirect chains. Google reports these in Search Console.
Why it matters: a page with crawl errors can’t be indexed or ranked, and a pile of them wastes your crawl budget and erodes the site’s overall quality signals. Left unchecked, they quietly drag down rankings.
Goal: BurstWriter pulls crawl/coverage status for your recent articles from Google Search Console each week and surfaces problem URLs on the dashboard so you can fix them before they cost you traffic.
