Search impressions

What it is: an impression is counted each time your page shows up in someone’s Google search results, whether or not they click. High impressions with few clicks means people see you but aren’t choosing you yet.

Why it matters: impressions measure your visibility and reach. An article with lots of impressions but a low position is exactly the kind of opportunity a refresh can convert into clicks.

Goal: grow impressions (visibility) and then convert them to clicks by improving titles, content, and rankings.
