Organic competitor

What it is: an organic competitor is a website that competes with you in Google’s unpaid (organic) results — it ranks for many of the same keywords as your site. These aren’t always your business rivals; they’re whoever shows up alongside you in search. BurstWriter auto-detects them from your shared keyword footprint, and you can add or remove competitors manually.

Why it matters: your organic competitors define the keyword battlefield. Studying what they rank for that you don’t is the fastest way to find proven content opportunities.

Goal: know exactly who you’re competing with in search, so gap analysis targets the right sites.
