Competitor gap

What it is: a competitor gap is a keyword where one or more of your organic competitors rank in the top 10 of Google but your site doesn’t rank at all. BurstWriter finds these by pulling each competitor’s top-ranking keywords and subtracting the ones you already cover.

Why it matters: gaps are proven demand — someone already ranks and earns traffic for that term, so you know it’s worth targeting. Each gap is scored by opportunity (search volume × how winnable it is × how many competitors rank for it), so you write the highest-upside articles first.

Goal: systematically close the gaps between you and the sites you compete with, turning their wins into your next articles.
